DiopsysIn keeping with our mission to provide the most advanced eye care to our patients, CarlinVision has recently added Visual Evoked Potential and Electroretinography testing to our practice.

During this brief and painless, non-invasive test, electrodes placed on the eyelids, forehead and/or back of the head measure electrical impulses produced by the retina and sent to the brain while the patient looks at a pattern on a TV screen. This test is useful for monitoring diseases such as glaucoma that affect the retina and optic nerve, macular degeneration that affects the center of the retina and diverse conditions that affect the optic nerve and brain.
